On The Range-RBC Canadian Open

O Canada!, Our home and native land, True patriot love, In all our sons’ command. Yes, you guessed it, this week we go On The Range-RBC Canadian Open. The PGA Tour heads North of the border to Ancaster, Ontario for the RBC Canadian Open located at Hamilton Golf & Country Club. This week we had a tough time making our picks but ultimately we feel pretty good about them, we avoided the big names like Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka. What do you think of them?

Predictions

Birdie – Henrik Stenson (30/1)

We are picking Stenson this week as a top pick, but it is somewhat of a wildcard. Stenson clearly can play great golf but the last few weeks he has been in the middle of the pack finishing T48 and T37 during the PGA Championship and Memorial. This week Stenson and his “old school”  wood will make a great run at the top spot.

Par – Scott Piercy (25/1)

In 2012 Piercy won this event at Hamilton Golf & Country Club, this year (2019) the event heads back to Hamilton Golf & CC. Maybe history repeats itself? Piercy is also coming off of making 6 straight cuts. With the history and the cuts made we feel that he will make a good run at finishing on top of the leaderboard.

Ace (25/1+) – Jim Furyk (40/1)

Furyk has won this event 2x in his career, with one win coming at Hamilton Golf & CC. Just like Piercy can history repeat itself in 2019? Will we have a repeat winner? Who knows, we do think that Furyk has the game to put together 4 solid rounds and chase the trophy.

Albatross (100/1+) – Mackenzie Hughes (100/1)

It seems only fitting to pick a native Canadian for the RBC Canadian Open. The best Canadian in the field is Mackenzie Hughes in our opinion. We think that he has a great chance to make a good run on the leaderboard.
