Genesis Open
This week the PGA Tour heads to Pacific Palisades, California for the Genesis Open. Want to learn more? Head over to Tee It Up-Genesis Open to learn more!
Predictions
Winner
Justin Thomas (+1450) – Based on the odds JT is the 2nd most popular pick to win this event, Dustin Johnson is #1. We like JT more this week though after DJ’s poor showing at last weeks Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The last 3 events for Thomas have been, Sentry Tournament of Champions (3), Sony Open (T16), and Waste Management (3). We think this is the week that JT gets his first-place finish.
Wildcard
Jon Rahm (+1700) – We have been picking Rahm regularly, why? because he is playing really good so far this year. In his last 3 events, Rahm has played, Desert Classic (6), Farmers Insurance (T5), and Waste Management (T10). We think that Rahm is set up for success this week.
Wildcard
Paul Casey (+4000) – This could have qualified for another BOLD prediction but after last weeks showing we think Casey is going to come in on a high note. Casey played great last week at Pebble Beach (2) and we think that his game is at a high right now.
BOLD Prediction
Adam Hadwin (+5000) – Hadwin has played pretty solid this year, Desert Classic (T2), Waste Management (T44), and Pebble Beach (T18). Back in 2017, Hadwin shot a 59 during the CareerBuilder Challenge in California, can he recreate that magic at this week’s Genesis Open?
Just For Fun
Fred Couples (+35000) – This is Couples 35th appearance in this event! Everybody loves Fred Couples so how could we not make it a fun pick? Couples has had 2 solid outings on the PGA Tour Champions, Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai (T5) and Oasis Championship (T8). We would LOVE to see Fred Couples make the cut and it would be even better to see him in the last group on Sunday!
