The Best Of The 2014 Masters!

Congrats to Bubba Watson on his second Masters win! With an impressive final-round score of 69 on Sunday, Watson earned his second green jacket in three years. Watson was paired with newcomer Jordan Spieth in the final round. The 20-year old Speith quickly scored a two-shot lead on the front nine, however a number of mistakes heading into the back nine would ultimately keep Spieth from winning.

After that, Bubba didn’t need any miraculous shot out of the woods. He dominated the rest of Augusta National including with a 366-yard drive on the par-5 13th hole. When he finally tapped in the last hole for par, Watson dropped to his knees with tears of joy before being greeted by his toddler Caleb and the rest of the family. He later celebrated the victory as only Bubba Watson can: by going to Waffle House. We at the Cave believe that this makes him officially the first person to ever eat Waffle House food sober. Congrats Bubba!

We’d also be remiss not to congratulate the two players who tied for second: Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt. Watson has been to Augusta before, but this was the first time both Spieth and Blixt has played in the Masters! Spieth is barely 20 and showed moments of absolute brilliance out on the course. Even though Blixt never lead on Sunday, he is now one of two players to stay under par for each of the four rounds of his Masters debut. Good job guys and we can’t wait to see where you’ll both go from here!
