What’s Your Favorite Course?

I sat here thinking today, if I had to choose a favorite golf course, could I do it? It would be hard, but it would come down between two. The Oak Hill CC in Rochester, NY, and Point Sebago Resort in the little town of Casco, ME.

But Why those two? They aren’t necessarily the best designed courses, but they both hold a special place of nostalgia in this caveman’s heart. Oak Hill has over a century’s worth of history and may or may not have been where I started my dig for golf balls. Point Sebago is on the brilliant Sebago Lake in Maine, filled with fond childhood memories, and is also associated with Camp Sunshine which “provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness.” and holds a my sentiment as I know it does to a few of my Rockheads.

So What is your Favorite Course Rockheads?

Bonus: I haven’t played this course yet, but I am curious to see how the Coober Pedy in Australia, would hold up. With little to no grass, it would be like playing in an infinite sand trap. It has some excellent potential to be frustratingly fun!

I agree, favorite certainly doesn’t mean best. My favorite is Highland Links in Truro MA. It’s only 9 holes, the greens are super shaggy, but it reminds me of my youth and the scenery is just gorgeous.
