Scratch’s Thoughts:
As always, everyone is focused on Tiger. After last week’s back problem, Woods skipped an event on Wednesday to rest, but we will have to see if that will be enough time to heal.
Fans have lucked out this year – Woods, the world and FedExCup playoff points No. 1, is paired with 2nd- and 3rd-ranked Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson in the first two rounds(Friday, 10th tee, 8:40 a.m. ET; Saturday, first tee, 1:10 p.m.). There’s been a lot of talk this week if Adam Scott is poised to take Tiger’s No.1 spot, so it’ll be great having them side by side for comparison.
