Farmers Insurance Open

The Farmers Insurance Open is part of the “West Coast Swing” on the PGA Tour. The event has gone through multiple title sponsors, Wickes, Isuzu, Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Buick. Farmers Insurance has taken been the title sponsor of the event since 2010. From 1968-1988 the event used celebrity Andy Williams, it also used to be known as the San Diego Open from 1952-1985.

Torrey Pines

Torrey Pines plays host to the Farmers Insurance Open, it is located in La Jolla, California. The property features 36 holes, North and South course. The golf course is owned by the city of San Diego, California, it is a public golf course. Both courses were designed by William F. Bell. The North and South courses have both experienced a redesign, the South course in 2001 by Rees Jones and the North course in 2016 by Tom Weiskopf. The Farmers Insurance Open has been hosted at the property since the late 1960s.
