Coverage Notes

Radio

If you want to listen live there are two great options. SiriusXM will be offering subscribers nationwide live hole-by-hole coverage of the 2014 Ryder Cup on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (XM channel 93, Sirius channel 208). According to their press release, “Live broadcasts of each day’s matches, provided by IMG, will air on Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27, starting at 2:00 am ET, and on Sunday, September 28, starting at 5:30 am ET.  The broadcasts will continue through the end of each day’s play, giving listeners access to more than 32 hours of live on-course play-by-play from Gleneagles Golf Club in Perthshire, Scotland.  SiriusXM will also re-broadcast the coverage each afternoon at 4:00 pm ET, giving listeners additional opportunities to tune in.  All broadcasts will be available on satellite radios, through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App and online at SiriusXM.com.”

If you don’t subscribe to SiriusXF, check out the coverage on BBC Radio 5.

NBC

NBC will be covering the Ryder Cup on Saturday and Sunday. The only caveat? It’s super early. If you’re planning on following the Ryder cup on Sunday with some football binging,  I hope you’ve got a lot of coffee.

Golf Channel

Golf Channel will of course be devoting LOTS of coverage to Ryder Cup. Along with providing Friday coverage, Golf Channel will also be debuting  a new form of viewing with Golf Channel’s Ryder Cup Alternate Shot coverage. This will feature a different view of the action that complements NBC’s live weekend coverage. Live From the Ryder Cup will air throughout the week before and after tournament play with analysis and player news conferences.
