It’s Fat Tuesday!
Hey Rock Heads! Bust out the beads and hand me a Hurricane…it’s Fat Tuesday! If you know anything about this Caveman, you know that Mardi Gras is definitely my kind of thing. But did you know that Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday”? Or that the first Mardi Gras parade held in New Orleans was way back in 1857? Since then the only times the Big Easy’s week-long party has been cancelled were WWI & WWII – not even Hurricane Katrina or Prohibition could stand in the way of THIS celebration!
So I wanna know…anybody headed down this year, or have any good Mardi Gras stories from years past? (Keep ’em PG-13!) Or done any golfing around Louisiana and want to give a shout-out to your favorite course? I’m always on the lookout for the next hidden gem…let me know where to go!
